Why 'the Path?'

The first time I saw the word 'consilience' was on the cover of a book entitled, Consilience: The Unity of Knowledge by Edward O. Wilson, one of our "great modern scientists and pioneer of sociobiology and biodiversity." Essentially the book is an argument for "the fundamental unity of all knowledge and the need to search for consilience- the proof that everything in our world is organized in terms of a small number of fundamental natural laws that comprimise the principles underlying every branch of learning" (Wilson, 1999).

The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines 'consilience' as "the linking together of principles from different disciplines especially when forming a comprehensive theory."

The key word in all this is:
unity
In my experience, as a human culture we suffer as a result of the dissonance we create---removing ourselves from each other, our food sources, for example...
The path to consilience in this context is the unity of our purpose--our soul purpose; reconnection with our true nature.
The 'path' is where we begin the reconciliation of mind, body, ego, and even society with the inherrent reality of our soul and connection with all life on this planet.

The process of consilience begins with the individual... presented here as one exploration on this path. We each have something unique to offer, and I humbly offer a place for thought, discussion and personal experience.
